Of the three islands, turtle viewing can only be experienced at Selingan Island. There are options for a day trip or overnight tour. However, most travel agents will offer the later. Turtle landings usually occur after dusk; hence an overnight stay would be the best plan to see the turtles as they come ashore to lay their eggs. During the daytime, visitors can enjoy snorkeling or lounge around the island. Selingan Island has great snorkeling sites with sightings of clownfish, geofish, and giant clams among others. After dinner, rangers will inform if there are any turtle landings, and visitors will be guided by them to witness a turtle laying eggs. It is important to note that shining a light on them or using camera flashes should be avoided, as it can be stressful on the wildlife. Sabah Park conservation rangers will then collect the eggs and move them to the hatchery area.
